Functional Objects

The public art environment is very varied and I have responded to the different briefs in various ways throughout the years. Often an entrance needs to be signified, special seating created and different elements of the community are sometimes called upon to inform my research before starting to make something. Sometimes the brief is prescriptive, but most of the time it is open to interpretation; it is always open to creative input and the practical knowledge given by time.
