The piece was inspired by images of cheeses piled high on boards. It was conceived both to be a sculpture and a seat and was purchased after one of the Fresh Air exhibitions at Quennington in 1997, Gloucestershire. The introduction led to some further commissions by Susi Gwyn a couple of years later that can be seen in the sculpture section.
The piece represents a fusion of ideas and techniques; it was zinc sprayed and finally oxidised to give its surface some interesting qualities.
